About the WFHBS
Director of Education, Lynda Hayes has been in the Hairdressing Industry for more than 35 years. She has taught hairdressing and beauty therapy in private schools and F.E. colleges in London and the Home Counties. Her qualifications embrace formal diplomas from City and Guilds, CIDESCO, a number of short courses in holistic therapies and theatre and film make-up, and a BA Honours degree in Education and Training from Greenwich University, London.
As an accredited Internal and External Assessor and Verifier, Lynda has wide experience of schools and teaching practices and processes in the UK, Republic of Ireland and South East Asia.
Since taking over the administration and running of the WFHBS. from John Anthony in 1989 Lynda has driven standards higher and spearheaded the alignment of the courses offered with nationally recognised qualifications.
The WFHBS has at its disposal a team of assessors who work with it and with each other to share our mission to develop Quality Training.
