The World Federation of Hairdressing and Beauty Schools has a set of core standards that all members must meet and comply with. Details of these are available upon application to Lynda Hayes at the link below.
As a guide, schools should have both a professional teaching and a practical working environment, with a high standard of equipment, and resources. The school should have been established for at least 18months and employ lecturers with appropriate qualifications, as detailed in the standards document.
The school should be prepared to accommodate a minimum of 15 students at one time.
